Rain fed, Certified Biodynamic (Demeter), grown in Casino (less than 100km away) and milled on farm.

'Rainfed' means that no irrigation was used, saving a valuable resource. 

We're very grateful to Brett, a local Biodynamic Certified, passionate farmer, who grew this rice for the first time last year. He then quickly purchased and set up his own mill to cater for this year's crop. It is fantastic quality and probably the most ethical, sustainable product we sell.

Rice contains:

• 70% available protein (not complete protein unless combined with a legume, nuts or seeds)
• Calcium, phosphorus, potasium, iron, B1 and B3
• Naturally gluten free

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, rice:

• Has a neutral thermal nature
• Strengthens spleen and pancreas
• Soothes the stomach
• Increases qi energy
• Good grain to eat if people tend to allergies
